Home Improvement Contractor Registration

As of July 1st, home improvement contractors must be registered with the Attorney General's office. If you are a contractor and have not done so, click here.  If you are a consumer and want to know if a contractor is registered contact the Attorney General's office at: 1-888-520-6680 or click here for more information.


Registration Now Open for New Home Improvement Contactor Law

Effective July 1, 2009, the new Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act requires home improvement contractors who perform $5,000 or more in improvements annually to register with the Attorney Generals Office. Register today to avoid penalty!


Forest Fire Suppression Grants Available

Applications for grants to fund forest fire suppression equipment, clothing, and training are being accepted by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources until 4:00 p.m. on May 14, 2009.


Volunteer Responder Tax Credit Available in 2009

Volunteer responders can now apply for a $100.00 tax credit against their 2008 state income tax liability.  Eligibility is based on a point system with a minimum requirement of 50 points.

Budget Hearing Schedule Announced
